Facing what is,
growing toward what can be

Specialized counseling for perinatal mental health, developmental trauma, depression, anxiety, and PMDD

Over a decade of clinical care

With over 10 years of clinical experience, this practice is dedicated to supporting individuals through some of life's most complex and tender seasons. Specialized mental health care is offered in perinatal mental health, including pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, fertility challenges, loss, trauma, birth trauma, and the transition to parenthood. Treatment is also available for depression, anxiety, OCD, PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder), and other mood-related concerns.

Treatment focuses on working with clients to feel "themselves" again — whether that be gaining symptom relief, greater emotional balance, or psychological flexibility. Beyond private practice, clinical experience includes work in Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs, providing in-depth assessment, crisis care, and higher levels of support for individuals experiencing acute symptoms.

Therapy provides a space to make sense of complicated issues and address whatever is most important at the time. At your own pace, we may explore patterns that no longer serve you, build skills to manage distress, and create room for self-understanding rather than self-criticism. You don't have to navigate overwhelming thoughts, painful emotions, or major life transitions alone.

A four-legged member of the team

Depending on client comfort level, my certified therapy dog (Alliance of Therapy Dogs) "ZZ" may be present in the office. Research indicates that interacting with a therapy dog can increase oxytocin and decrease cortisol levels, which are associated with stress reduction, emotional regulation, anxiety, and overall emotional wellbeing. ZZ and I volunteer regularly at Prisma Hospital, where she provides comfort and connection for patients, families, and staff.

Ready to take the second step?

For some people, reaching out for therapy can be a long time coming and a difficult first step. Courage and nervousness often arrive together — and the presence of both is what makes it brave. Taking this step, even if uncertain, is itself an act of strength.

The timing has to be right; when it is, I am here. Considering therapy and being open to the idea that additional support might help is already a step toward something. That openness is its own kind of growth.
